Anne W. Burrell has worked as a chef, TV host in America and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell is host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Early on, while growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing learning experience for me. I couldn't seem to get enough out of the experience. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children living with obstacles and is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador, where she promotes children with diabetes and awareness. In her capacity as a guest speaker and mentor she travels across the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Anne was always grateful that she was able to share her passion that she had for and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
